We had so much fun hosting Amy and James’ wedding at Boconnion this summer. The pair were blessed with beautiful sunshine to enjoy their outdoor ceremony, pool party and lawn games alongside their family and friends.

We had our wedding at Boconnion and it’s the most amazing venue. We were looking for a relaxed venue that catered for all our guests for the entire weekend. The grounds and living areas are expectational and we loved it.

The happy couple chose to get married outside in the Cornish sunshine, and were wed by our trusted partner Lisa of Celebrant in Cornwall. Amy wore a beautiful boho style dress, which perfectly complimented their relaxed and fun-loving attitude to the weekend and festival-style theme, which was planned by Boconnion’s in-house wedding planner Caroline Griffiths.

Caroline, Rick and Rob were always on hand to help with any planning or extras that were needed, we can’t thank them and Boconnion enough, we will definitely be back for a visit.

The catering was supplied by Divine Dining, and they opted for alfresco eating the day before and after the wedding, and for the sit down meal the wedding party retired to the Barton Reception Barn. The trestles tables were decorated simply and elegantly with pale pink poppies, wild flowers and white linen. Speeches and dancing followed the dinner, and guests were invited to stay over in the Manor House, Barton Farmhouse and in beautifully constructed bell tents provided by the glamping services of Bella Kernow.

That evening Amy and James lit up the estate with the help of AVLX, making the most of the warm June evening. They also chose to light the fire pits, allowing the chatting and merriment to go on late into the night.

Their special day was beautifully captured by one of our recommended photographers Tom Durn.
