The extensive Boconnion estate means there is space for up to 250 of your nearest and dearest! It won’t feel crowded as you’ll be spread out across the rolling lawns, mingling amongst the fairy light-strung beech and oak trees, eating at long tables in our Reception Barn and gazing at the stars around the fire pit, losing yourself in the quiet Cornish countryside.
With accommodation for 36, we invite you to spend the entire weekend surrounded by your family and friends, celebrating your wedding and relaxing in rustic Cornish luxury. The estate is easily accessible by train and taxi, with parking for everyone and plenty of woodland walks and activities in the area to keep everyone, of all ages, entertained. The estate is child and dog friendly, too.

Help planning your big wedding
Don’t feel stressed about planning a big wedding in Cornwall. Our in-house wedding planner Caroline Griffiths has extensive experience working with wedding parties of large numbers. Caroline has created multiple in-depth planning guides that will help you with the process, plus she’ll be on hand during the lead-up to your big day and on your wedding day itself. Marquee or outside ceremony for 250 people
We love marquee weddings as they give you total freedom to put your own stamp and style on your big day, from florals and styling to running order. We work closely with Absolute Marquees to provide gorgeous canvas marquees that can accommodate up to 250 people. Large marquees are pitched on Beech House Lawn, our biggest lawn, next to the heated swimming pool. Your marquee or tipi will be 100 metres from the main house, so set away from the accommodation, allowing it to become its very own wedding setting.
If your wedding day is blessed with blue skies and sunshine (or you don’t mind braving the weather!) we’d highly recommend an outdoor ceremony. You can tie the knot with a celebrant ceremony anywhere in the grounds; the wildflower meadow, one of the manicured lawns, amongst the trees or in front of the gorgeous Georgian Manor House. We work with Trevarno Event Hire who offer a selection of elegant chairs and tables that can be styled with flowers and decorations to suit the theme of your special day. Kick off your shoes and say ‘I do’ amongst the daisies!

Indoor reception venue for 250 guests
From your first dance to the last request our Barton Barn is perfect to dance the night away and soak up Cornwall’s local ales and wines. Our recently renovated traditional barn has a capacity for 250 people over two floors for your evening reception. Designed by owner Rob, the barn retains many of its original features, including the outside dovecote and milling ironmongery. The bar itself has been fashioned from one of Boconnion’s own ancient oak trees.

We work with a carefully curated selection of amazing local suppliers, all of which you’ll find on our recommended suppliers list. You’ll have complete access to this list for your big day, allowing you to work closely with each team. Our exceptional suppliers are used to working with large numbers and long guest lists, so your big wedding in Cornwall will be in the safe hands of our high quality caterers, florists, stylists, entertainment team and child care.
