An outdoor marquee wedding in Cornwall for Callum & Alice
In September 2025, we welcomed Alice and Callum for a gorgeous outdoor ceremony on a warm, late-summer day, followed by a marquee reception. The Boconnion meadow was set up with rustic wooden benches amongst the trees for the ceremony, which was officiated by a close friend of the couple. The bridal party walked from the manor house to the ceremony location, weaving through the apple trees and down the grass aisle.
The marquee was close by on the meadow, decorated simply with a pink colour scheme. Guests enjoyed the expanse of the outdoor space for drinks and lawn games, making the beautiful outdoor setting their home for the day.

A marquee wedding reception for Shona & Will
It was a simply perfect summer's day for Shona and Will in June 2025. The couple enjoyed a gorgeous coastal ceremony at Daymer Bay Church followed by a marquee reception back at Boconnion, complete with bagpipes, Mediterranean-style outdoor seating and lots and lots of dancing. Their marquee was dressed with simple green and white foliage and flowers, with an additional pop of pink. Less was more on the trestle tables, with crisp white the main theme.
The couple brought vibrant energy into the marquee, entering to a bagpipe procession. The side panels of the marquee were up, allowing for the Boconnion meadow to stetch out in front of the wedding party and become part of the space. Comfy summer seating encouraged guests to spill onto the lawn for golden hour.

A stretch tent for Natalie & Joshua
During a heatwave in July 2026, Natalie & Joshua opted for an outdoor ceremony under Boconnion’s huge trees for cooling shade. The party then moved to a stretch tent on the meadow. With temperatures soaring, this was the perfect option to enjoy their wedding breakfast and speeches outside whilst having guaranteed shade. Less formal than a marquee and with a more relaxed, al fresco feel, stretch tents are becoming increasingly popular. As the heat of the day subsided, guests were able to enjoy golden hour on the meadow.
